The 2014 summer transfer window has now firmly closed, leaving us to ponder over the transfers that didn’t quite happen, and also to focus on the new arrivals.
Manchester United was very active in this transfer window with their first ‘big money’ signing of the summer in Angel Di Maria, smashing the British transfer record.
