The last match between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad was an exciting affair. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been the best bowler in IPL 2017 so far, produced the best spell of the season, taking 5 for 19. While Manan Vohra made a brilliant 50-ball 95 that was not enough to win the game for his team.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have dominated Kings XI Punjab in all of the matches played between the two sides so far. They have a fantastic 7-2 win record against the Punjab team.
Kings XI Punjab have had a mixed tournament so far. They stand fifth, which is not bad by any means. They defeated Gujarat Lions by 26 runs in the last game, but lost to Mumbai Indians by eight wickets before that.

Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their last match to Rising Pune Supergiant by six wickets because of an M S Dhoni special. They beat Delhi Daredevils before that by 15 runs.
Kings XI Punjab will be bolstered by the presences of the West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy. Sammy is the two time T20 winning captain of the West Indies side and really knows the game just as well as anyone. He missed the first month of the IPL due to injury, but is expected to be back for this game, and might replace the much hyped Marcus Stoinis who has done nothing, either with bat or ball.
The Australian allrounder, who did so well in international cricket this season, has only made 17 runs off 24 balls in three innings, and took just 2 wickets at a high economy rate of 10.47. Well, it’s fair to say that he has been a complete failure in IPL 2017!
Sunrisers fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman will be available for selection till May 4. He was earlier stated to join the Bangladesh team. Yuvraj Singh could play as well, as long as he recovers from his flu before the game.
