Chennai Super Kings have done well in the IPL so far, but were handed a defeat in the last game by Mumbai Indians. That was expected as Mumbai Indians are a good team and you don’t expect them to lie low for too long. They were due for a win.
Delhi Daredevils on the other hand, look like a completely transformed side after Gautam Gambhir resigned from captaincy and was replaced by young Shreyas Iyer. It’s like all the brakes have come off and this Daredevils team is now looking spectacular.

They have Colin Munro and Prithvi Shaw on top, and they are both extremely aggressive batsmen who believe in the philosophy “see ball hit ball”.
They are followed by Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. No poking and nudging the ball here and there like Gambhir used to do – it’s all “slam, bang, thank you Ma’am” with these young men.
That’s why Daredevils suddenly look like the most exciting team in the IPL. It may have taken them time to get to this point, but it’s never too late. There is every chance of them making the top 4 finish if they keep doing what they are doing.
For Chennai Super Kings, they will miss Deepak Chahar, their young fast bowler who has done very well for them because of a hamstring injury. He is expected to be replaced by the young South African fast bowler, Lungi Ngidi, who has rejoined the squad after coming back from South Africa following the death of his father.

Super Kings could also choose to play David Willey in place of Sam Billings who has been out of form. Billings has only made 24 runs in his last 4 games and looks weak against spin bowling.
Willey is a very good fast-medium bowler who bats very well. He scores at a high strike rate of 170.6 in T20s. He maintains an economy rate of of 7.4 with the ball, which is brilliant. It’s a mystery as to why CSK haven’t played him yet.
