Rising Supergiant Pune are currently on 16 points, which means they are third in the IPL 2017 table, but not through yet because they have Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad snapping at their heels.
Kings XI Punjab had a great game last night when they made 230 against Mumbai Indians, winning by 7 runs. That was an exciting match and this means they have a very good chance of making it to the play-offs.
So Rising Pune must win the next two games. Should they lose tonight’s game against Delhi Daredevils, they could be in trouble. As for the Delhi team, they don’t really have to worry about anything. They are already out of contention for the play-offs, so can afford to give it a real go. The likes of Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer will want to show what they are capable of.

So far, Rising Pune Supergiant lead the contest between the two teams 2-1. Earlier this season, Delhi Daredevils had a memorable win over Pune because of a smashing hundred by Sanju Samson, which helped them chase down a score of 205.
Delhi Daredevils have beaten Gujarat Lions by two wickets, but lost to Mumbai Indians by 146 runs in their last two games. Rising Pune Supergiant lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs, but beat Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets and Gujarat Lions by five wickets in their last three games.
Both teams will miss their South African players. Pune won’t have Imran Tahir and Faf du Plessis. Du Plessis won’t be missed really as he has not really featured in the tournament, but Tahir was an important player for them. He will be replaced by Adam Zampa, the Australia legspinner.
Daredevils will be without Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris and Angelo Mathews. Mathews has not really played much for them, but Rabada and Morris have been their best players.
